1. Service Description

"Meilė Tau" is an app that allows couples to share daily love messages. One partner (the writer) creates messages, while the other (the reader) receives them.

Key features:

Message creation: The writer can create personal messages for 365 days
Widget: The reader sees the daily message in a home screen widget
Daily reminder: The reader receives a daily notification at a chosen time
Auto-refresh: Messages automatically change every day at midnight
Emoji reactions: The reader can react to a message with an emoji, and the writer receives a notification

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. You must be at least 13 years old to use the app.

3. Free Trial and Premium Subscription

3.1 Free Trial

New users receive a 7-day free trial with full Premium functionality.

Before your partner joins, the writer can use all features for free
The 7-day trial begins when the reader joins the couple
During the trial, you have access to all Premium features
After the trial ends, the reader still receives a ready-made note every day and can react to it; writing your own notes requires Premium
The free trial is granted only once per person (per Google account email)

3.2 Premium Subscription

We offer two subscription plans:

Monthly subscription – automatically renewed every month
Annual subscription – automatically renewed every year

Premium features:

Write your own notes
Full calendar editing (all days of the year)
Schedule notes ahead of time

3.3 Payment

Payments are processed through Google Play
The price is shown in the app before purchase in your local currency
Payment is charged to your Google Play account upon purchase confirmation
The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it

3.4 Cancellation

How to cancel your subscription:

Open the Google Play app
Tap the profile icon in the top right
Select "Payments & subscriptions" → "Subscriptions"
Find "Meilė Tau" and tap "Cancel subscription"

You may cancel at any time
After cancellation, Premium features remain active until the end of the current paid period
An uncancelled subscription will automatically renew

3.5 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Google Play according to their refund policy.

You may request a refund through Google Play within 48 hours of purchase
After 48 hours, refunds are reviewed on a case-by-case basis

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for the content you create. You may not post:

Offensive, threatening, or discriminatory content
Illegal information
Fraudulent or deceptive content
Links to malicious websites
Spam or automatically generated content

Violations of these rules may result in account suspension without notice.

Content protection: The app automatically blocks URLs, phone numbers, email addresses, and suspicious words in messages to protect users from fraud.

Message limit: Sending messages is limited to 30 times per day to ensure stable service operation.

5. Data Deletion

How to delete your data:

Open the app
Tap the menu button (⋮) in the top right corner
Select "Delete data"
Confirm the deletion

For writers: Deleting your data will remove all messages, dissolve the couple, and the reader will lose access.

For readers: Deleting your data will remove you from the couple, but the writer's messages will remain.

6. Intellectual Property

The app's code, design, and brand belong to the "Meilė Tau" developers
Messages you create remain your property
You grant us the right to store and display your messages only to your partner

7. Service Availability

We strive to ensure uninterrupted service, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime. The service is provided "as is". We may:

Perform maintenance with brief interruptions
Change or update features
Discontinue the service with 30 days' prior notice

8. Limitation of Liability

We are not responsible for:

Any indirect losses arising from use of the app
Data loss due to technical failures
Disruptions of third-party services (Google, Firebase)

Our maximum liability is limited to the subscription amount you paid in the last 12 months.

9. Account Closure

You may close your account at any time using the "Delete data" feature in the app. Upon closure:

Your data will be deleted immediately
An active subscription will not be automatically refunded (cancel before closing)
The couple link will be removed

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. For significant changes (especially related to pricing or subscriptions), we will notify you at least 7 days in advance via the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Dispute Resolution

Disputes are resolved through negotiation. If no agreement is reached, disputes are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania.
